2011 - Charles Point on Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario
This was the third time at Scott's place ... The 'Loon', and more than likely the last. Scott sold the place just recently ... Heimie's on it tho, and will see if it's available next year. Pete and Les joined us again for the 2nd year in a row, and Yeebie and Louie made it this year too.I think everyone agreed that this was the best year for fish EVER !! We had two meals during the week with plenty left in the freezer for everyone to enjoy at home. The two baskets we cleaned each weighed about 22 pounds. The 3rd basket weighed at least as much, but we only cut 6 or 7 of them.
Oh ... AND ... we watched the ISS at least three times this week ... pretty much looked the same each time, right Spaz?
The Loon

It did NOT take Les long to catch on to this ...
This was the 1st basket of fish ... 22 lbs 4 ozs I believe ...
Weppie had it in the bag, with an early 2lb 5oz'er ...
...then Louie and Yeebie figured they had it in the bag, with a couple of 2lb 11oz'ers .....

... and then Buddy rained on the party, with a 2lb 15oz'er ... and yes, those glasses cost $4 at the OBX ...

... then Buddy ... being the wiseguy that he is, landed a 3 lb 1 oz'er (notice the sly look in those eyes). At this point, Rep made him weigh his own damn fish !!

These guys were none-too-impressed ...

... and buddy's last entry ... a 3 lb 5 oz'er ...
Pete's a natural ... check him out ...
This was the 2nd basket ... another 22+ lbs
This is Hen's comfort zone ;o) ... monster Rock-faces.
2nd basket ...
Pretty sure this was the 3rd basket of fish. We let most of these go after they broke Rep's De-liar scale.

We had some beautiful sunsets ... that's Rep and Hen or Louie ... not sure who was tagging along that night.

.. and this is the view of the lake from the deck of the Loon ...
I don't think Butchie sustained any serious injuries while fileting some of the catch, but he almost through his neck out of whack trying to drink his beer !!

Here's the old stompin' grounds ....
